Tonyia Peasley
Bookkeeper & Office Administrator
I was born into a commercial fishing family, and grew up on Deer Isle. There is nothing like living in a small town and I feel immensely fortunate to have always called Maine home. I moved to Brooksville in 1992, where my husband Frank and I built our home and raised two daughters, Hannah and Sophie.
In the past, I worked for the Head Start agency in Hancock and Washington Counties. One of my most favorite tasks at Head Start was organizing their Christmas Is For Kids Program for over 250 families. It was a big job and very rewarding. I then moved on to work with Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County, where I continued doing administrative work. When our girls were born, I was fortunate to be a stay-at-home mom. I enjoyed those years of volunteering in their classrooms and chasing their sports teams immensely.
After sending our youngest off to college, I knew the timing was perfect to go back to working for a local non-profit. Joining Healthy Peninsula as their Bookkeeper and Office Administrator has been a wonderful fit for me. I’m grateful for the opportunity to support Healthy Peninsula’s mission, serving my neighbors in a community I hold dear.
