Empty Bowl Supper Helps Fill the Magic Food Bus

Brooksville Elementary School is hosting an Empty Bowl community supper on Thursday October 17, 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Families and friends are invited to come for a hearty meal where they can make a donation to take home a student-made bowl that will first be filled with a delicious and nourishing soup. Art students are building creative skills around a social mission making functional art, and the Ag Arts class will be harvesting and preparing vegetables sourced from our local farmers and their own garden! The purpose is to come together to celebrate our community harvest and support garden-based education at school and the Magic Food Bus in Brooksville. This supper is open to the public with a suggested donation of $10 per bowl + meal / $25 per family, or whatever you can pitch in. Come join us for a fun evening. !Bonus! – you are also invited to come and take part in pottery making on 9/19 at 4:00 pm at Brooksville Elementary School to create your own bowl to add to the collection that will be shared.
