Lori Johnson
Healthy Aging Coordinator
Impactful collaboration with Healthy Peninsula was integral when I worked as a hospice volunteer program manager for almost six years. Because of this partnership, I grew to appreciate the work of Healthy Peninsula so accepting the Healthy Aging Coordinator position seemed like the right next step. I am excited to be working more closely with such dedicated, creative and caring professionals and volunteers!
After I earned a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology, I worked in the social services field for 25 years. Some of my professional experience includes community outreach, resource navigation, closely working with volunteers, community collaboration and advocacy.
My husband and I currently live with our two rescued dogs (Izzy and Cobber) and our one inherited cat (Tofu). We arrived in Maine in 2013 expecting to stay a few years only. As happens with many, we fell in love with the beauty and serenity of Maine, and most importantly, found Maine to be where we belong. Walking with our dogs in Acadia National Park is one of our favorite outings. We also enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, eating delicious food, and reading on cold winter days.
Let’s Work Together!
