I am very excited to be a part of the Healthy Peninsula family. I have lived in Hancock County for 28 years in both Surry and Sedgwick. The job of part-time Program Coordinator for the Choices That Matter community conversations is right up my alley. As a former Program Director for Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County and a person who feels it is very important to give back to the community, this job is a dream come true. Helping a family or individual make life-changing decisions is an honor.
My background also includes care for private families, private gardening and several years in a variety of positions at Surry Gardens. I have served on the Board of Directors of Mabel Wadsworth Women's Health Center, the Downeast Audubon Board and most recently the Maine Hospice Council.
My husband, Mike Rioux and I enjoy our time together at Toddy Pond in Surry, our families, our dogs, and many outdoor activities. I love to cook, garden and meditate in the North Maine Woods.
